Now……

Compare the properties of matter in these items:

You can create either a T-Chart or a Venn Diagram to show the similarities and differences between these items.

  • Lemon Juice vs. Chocolate Syrup
  •  Tree vs. Marshmallow
  • Water Vapour (steam) vs. Helium (gas that makes balloons float)

Next, around your home, identify items that are solids, liquids, and gases, and then compare them.

  1. Find two solids at home and compare them
  2. Find two liquids at home and compare them
  3. Challenge:  think of two gases and compare them
