Students at Brentwood Park are busy practicing for our Christmas Musical “Legend of Polar Mountain.”
Schedule:
Our musical will have two matinee and evening performances: Tuesday December 16th at 1:30pm & 7:00pm and Wednesday December 17th at 1:30pm & 7:00pm in the school gymnasium.Students should arrive at the school at 6:30 pm in their classrooms for evening performances. Please see the schedule below to see which night(s) your child’s class will be performing. It is important that all students attend their performance night as this is a culmination of their classroom work, and every child is important in their class performance.
Tuesday December 16th, 2014: 1:30pm & 7:00pm
Div 2 & 3, Div 4, Div 5, Div 6, Div 8, Div 10, Div 14, Div 15, Div 17, Div 18, Div 19.
Wednesday December 17th, 2014: 1:30pm & 7:00pm
Grade 7 Band, Div 1 & 2, Div 6, Div 7, Div 8, Div 9, Div 11, Div 12, Div 13, Div 16, Div 20, Div 21.
*Division 6 & 9 will be performing on both nights, as they are the choir for the musical.
*Students in Ms. Keeler’s class are divided between concert days and know which day they are performing on.
Costumes:
Students will be required to bring their performance clothing to school by Friday December 12 in a bag labeled with the student’s name. Teachers will be adding various costume props to make students look festive. If parents are unable to send their child to school with the appropriate costume, please try your best to match shirt and pant color as close as possible. If you have a t-shirt in the right color, but there is a graphic on it, try to see if it can be worn inside out. Similar to last year, students will be walking on the stage without shoes to keep the disruptive background noise to a minimum; please have your child wear easy to remove shoes the day/night of their performance.
Div 1, 2 & 3: Winter storm
student provides: Light colored clothing, no dark colors. Solid colors preferred. Students will be wearing painter’s overalls on top of clothing.
Div 4 & 13: Lost
student provides: solid color black pants and solid color black t-shirt/shirt.
Div 6 & 8: Choir
student provides: plain white shirt, black pants (jeans / dress pants / slacks / capris).
Div 5 & 7: Overture
student provides: plain black shirt/t-shirt and black pants.
Div 9 & 15: Winter Festival
student provides: plain white shirt/t-shirt and black pants.
Div 10 & 11: Northern Lights
student provides: Any solid color of blue t-shirt, shorts any color. Students will be provided with beige and purple pants to wear overtop of shorts.
Div 12 & 14: Villagers
student provides: Winter clothing overtop of black pants. (scarves, sweaters, hat, toque, jacket, gloves, etc).
Div 16 & 17: Hope
student provides: Solid yellow or orange colored shirt/t-shirt. Any color shorts. Students will be provided with pants to wear overtop of shorts.
Div 18 & 21: Snow storm
student provides: Solid color black pants and white shirt/t-shit
Div 19 & 20: Penguins
student provides: Solid color black shirt/t-shirt and solid color black pants.
