Remembrance day Ceremony 2015 choral rehearsal

This year the intermediate choir performed three pieces for our Remembrance Day Ceremony.

Brentwood’s Intermediate Choir performs at Burnaby’s 2015 Choral Festival:

Our 45 Member Choir from grades 4-7, have been preparing two contrasting pieces for the festival.  One is a Czech folk song titled “Above the Plains” and the other is a pop melody titled “Blank Space.”  The students not only had an great time learning some vocal techniques from the adjudicator, but also had a lot of fun performing for the other schools involved.  We ended the event with a massed piece written for the 2015 upcoming Music Monday festival by a 16 year old, Connor Ross.  The song is titled “We are One,” and ties into the theme of Music Monday by illustrating how music is important to our school community.
