Dear Parents,

Today, we started off with reading a Brothers Grimm fairytale: Hansel and Gretel. We talked about how there are different variations of stories and sometimes they don’t have happy endings.

Then, we talked a bit more about various probability language in terms of varied likelihoods. Then, we created some double bar graphs online and answered some questions about a pictograph in order to practice our comprehension skills when it comes to reading graphs.

After, we had snack and DPA. When we came in, we did a Go Noodle breathing and then I showed students a short video on some changes they experience during puberty. We discussed this and will be continuing our lesson worksheets and reading in our next Health lesson. I encourage you to follow up with your child what we talked about today if you feel comfortable in case they have more questions.

Then, we had library.

After lunch, students completed their observation charts for our special project and then worked on their Health pamphlets for exercise.

Then, Ms. Barrera came in and had the students work on their cards for essential workers.

Spelling test is tomorrow!

Sincerely,

Ms. Wilks
