Hi Everyone,

Today, we started off with a pop quiz diagnostic (not for marks) for Math. I have finished marking this and will be posting videos of the students’ quizzes on Fresh Grade. The point of this diagnostic is for students to identify where they need more practice, so that they can excel on the final unit test 🙂 It is a great checkpoint to see where they are at and a good study material.

Then, we had DPA – the students also earned an extra DPA because of great class behaviour, woohoo! 🙂

After that, we did our Daily 5 sessions where I read with the orange group.

After lunch, students had time to work on their Social Studies projects, which are due on Wednesday, October 28th.

At the end of the day, we started designing our nature themed embroidery projects. It was so much fun getting to see the designs that the students  were planning to make. We are doing nature-themed embroidery to match the sustainability/natural resources unit in Grade 5 and biomes & living things units in Grade 4.

The students have no homework today, except to study for their French Test on Thursday. They need to know colours, numbers 1-10, and months in French.

Library is also tomorrow 🙂

Sincerely,

Ms. Wilks
