Today, we had a special guest, Ms. Lavallee, come to our classroom with Mrs. Barndt to do a salmon dissection. The students got to see all the insides of the salmon and learn all the parts of the salmon. The students had a great experience being scientists!
Last week, Mrs. Barndt delivered our salmon eggs to our tank. We have 55 chum and they are nestled in the tray of rocks. The temperature of the tank is 5-6 degrees and we check the eggs each day to ensure they are look healthy and are growing. The students write their observations in their salmon journal. The class is very excited to have the salmon growing in our classroom!
