Our class was asked to participate in the Roots of Empathy project and since we have never done this before, we thought this would be another great opportunity to build community within the classroom and with outside guests. This program teaches kids all about empathy by learning the growth of a new baby and observing the changes and developmental progress a baby does in one year. We are so fortunate to have our school counsellor, Ms. Nan facilitate this program and we are so happy to have Mom Kristen and her baby, Jack be our Roots of Empathy baby for this year. Jack is 3 months old and we were so excited to meet him and mom this past week! Jack was very alert and so interested in seeing all 20 eager faces around him!
