I hope you have enjoyed watching the Mojo videos about mindsets.  Here is a graphic to help you define what a growth mindset is and how it compares to a fixed mindset.  Which one do you think you have?  Can you have both?  Give some examples that support what you think.  What do you think about mindsets and what have you taken from the Mojo videos that we have been viewing?

  1. I think I have both mindsets because sometimes I give up if I get too frustrated, sometimes when I get frustrated I stop and try to get patient again. I think you can have both because I bet no one in the world has just a growth or fixed mindset.

  2. I think I have the growth mindset because I like be challenged like really hard math like addition subtraction. I think I can have both because i sometimes like to be challenged but sometimes I don’t want to be challenged.

  3. The growth mindset is very positive and the fixed mindset is negative. In the mojo videos, there negative at first and then they turn into a growth mindset and they keep working hard

  4. I think that I have both mind set, because sometimes I give up on things and sometimes I don’t which kind of represent a fixed mindset and, a growth mindset. Another reason why I think I have both mindset is
because I always practice things to get better and, sometimes I don’t.

  5. Probably both because I give up sometimes when I’m angry and I can’t think when I’m angry. Sometimes I just want a Growth Mindset but I can’t think when I’m negative. Sometimes I wonder if someone only has a growth mindset, or a fixed mindset.

  6. I think I have both mindsets but usually I have a Growth mindset, Because I normally try hard to learn new things. When I have a Fixed mindset, I get frustrated and sometimes I give up.

  7. I think I have a growth mindset because I like to try and challenge myself so I get smarter at school and other places in the wold. I wonder why I have a growth mindset than a fixed mindset.

  8. I think that people can have both mindsets, but I think that I have both but I don’t know for sure. I believe that everyone can grow my brain to be as smart as they want it to be. I think that a growth mindset is a brain that is always trying to achieve there goal, for example if someone wanted to build a robot and they did something that they thought was wrong they would go back and fix it. I think that a fixed mindset is a brain that is thinking bad thoughts about their work but in the end realize that they should be proud of their work.

  9. I think I have growth mindset because I read the picture it says stuff about challenges I think challenges do help me grow . I think you can have a little bit of both because we started mindset we did that paper that made me think that you can have both

  10. I agree with kaylee that I also get frusterated and even give up sometimes but I love to try new things and it usually takes me awhile to get it but I try not to give up. if I do I sometimes get motavated by friends and family, and that gets me to go back and normally try and do not get annoyed at what I am not getting.

  11. I liked to be challenged because if I get challenged then my brain will grow and grow and I personally loved being challenged because that means that I am working hard

  12. I think I have both mindsets. Fixed mindset is when people give up. Growth mindset is when you learn from your mistakes and when you try new things. When I was learning multiplication on counting by 7s it was too hard for me. Then later I got better by practicing every day.

  13. If you have a growth mindset you like to be challenged for example 9 x 9 = 81. If you have a fixed mindset you will have a lot of problems and also have a lot of difficultly.

  14. I think I have both mindsets. So sometimes it means that I need to work more harder so like in mojo your brain needs more work to get the exercise it needs and to get smarter so you can accomplish more things in your life that is what I think is fixed mindset. A growth mindset is when you learn something new and when you got something wrong but you keep on practicing the same task that you got wrong until you get it right like learning from your mistakes.

  15. I think I have both because when I do a subject I don’t want to give up and
thats when I feel like having growth mindset.
but sometimes I get frustrated and I feel like giving up and thats when I feel like
    having fixed mindset.

  16. If someone has a fixed mindset they are having a lot of problems so if you want to get a growth mindset you need to work more harder and try to stay on track on your subject.

  17. I like challenges because my brain will grow and I will get smarter.
If something is hard , don’t give up,just practice, and you will be better.

  18. I think I have both. For a fixed mindset, I am sometimes stubborn about food like things that I have never eaten before I won’t try them. Sometimes I give up on school work because I do not understand it and get stressed out. For a growth mindset, for example, if someone said that this is the best taco salad in the world (that person thinks that) I will think about it first, for a while, and then I will try it to see for myself if he was right or wrong.

  19. I think growth mindset means you’re not just born smart, you can also get smarter. I think I have a growth mindset because whenever I make a mistake, I know I can always fix it. I believe I can do it. But sometimes I might have a fixed mindset, when I believe that I can’t do it, so I stop and I don’t finish. Most of the time, though, I have a growth mindset.
