As some of you may already know, Nelson Mandela, human rights activist and former South African president, died last week on December 5 at the age of 95. He spent much of his life fighting for equal rights for all people regardless of your race, gender, appearance, and abilities. Nelson Mandela was sent to prison for his beliefs and spent 27 years in jail. Even from prison, he continued his fight and when he was released, he soon became the first black president of South Africa in 1994. I think that it is incredible thing that this man is doing,many people would want to do this but don’t want to risk there lives and be in jail.But Nelson Mandela built courage,confidence and believed in the right things .this man also reminded me of Martin Luther King ,another incredible man with believes in not treating black people like slaves.

  2. I love when Nelson Mandela said” Iwant to be free, but I am free.” I think he inspired a lot of people and he shouldn’t been thrown in jail for 27 years.
