Terry Fox: An Example of Resilience

Collaborative Art Project

This week we devoted time to learning more about Terry Fox and his legacy of hope. His story of courage and determination to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research despite having an amputated leg inspires us to be resilient when facing our own personal challenges. We also examined another story called The Magnificent Thing by Ashley Spears about a little girl’s idea to make something that becomes harder than expected. To show their understanding of this concept, students drew from their personal experiences and shared an example of what resilience can look like
