What Makes Day and Night?

Division 10 wondered what makes day and night. We learned that every day the Earth makes one turn on its axis. The sun shines on the Earth as it spins. But sunlight shines only on the half of the Earth facing the sun. That half has day. The other half is dark. That half has night. As the Earth spins we move from day, to night, to day, to night over and over again. We used a flashlight and a globe to show what we know.
Did you know that if the sun was hollow, you could fit one million Earths inside.
