Dear Division 4 Families,
These past few weeks have brought an abundance of changes and challenges, and while school will look different for the time being, I hope that we can work together to find a system that works for us all. While I do not know how long we will be participating in online learning for, I will work towards continuing to support your child’s learning in a new platform which continues to address their needs and maintains their progression with goals. This is a unique situation which we will need to navigate together, please bear with me as I work to upload content and activities!
Looking forward, on Monday April 6th, I will post new spelling words for the class to maintain our routine. Each Monday, I will upload spelling words and the corresponding “activity” for Grade 1’s and Grade 2’s (we’ll be starting week 24 words). If you know that your child is on a separate spelling list, please check your email for their list of words. Please practice the new spelling words with your child as usual, and conduct a spelling test with them either on Friday or the following Monday (or any day that works best for you and your family). Usually the activity is completed as a station in Daily 5 in our classroom, at home you can either have your child complete it independently, or you can review it with your child. With regards to other subjects, I will post relevant activities and worksheets (these will be posted soon).
I will post activities, links to resources and worksheets where possible, however if you do not have access to a printer, or cannot partake in an activity that I have posted on this site, please just skip it. I will try to post a range of activities, so that if you do not have access to a printer or cannot partake in a certain activity, there will be other options.
