Outdoor Wear

Our goal is to make learning outside part of our daily routine. We hope that we can help you prepare your child to be clothing-ready for outdoor learning, in all types of weather. 

We recommend that your child, depending on the weather, have these items ready to go;

When it’s sunny…

• Hats
• Sunscreen
• Sunglasses

When it’s rainy…

• Let’s stay away from umbrellas so we can use our hands to explore and learn! Alternatives may be;
• A Muddy Buddy ($30-$40, Walmart, Amazon, MEC, Atmosphere)
• Rain pants
• Rain Jacket (with hood)
• Rain boots
• Plastic bread bags (to cover socks inside boots)
• Poncho (dollar store)

 When it’s snowy…

• Warm snow boots
• Snow Pants
• Snow Jacket 
• Gloves (ones that allow playing with toys and manipulatives..mittens can be tricky!)
• Toque
