Ideas for Home

Walking to school? To the park? The store? Here are some walking curriculum ideas by Jillian Judson, that promote critical thinking, imagination, and communication:

• Shapes Walk: What shapes do you notice?
• On the Move Walk: What do you notice is moving? (i.e. cars, bugs, birds)
• Above/Below Walk: What do you see when you look up? What is below your feet? 
• Sensory Walk: What do you see, hear, and feel?
• Living Things Walk: What do you see that is alive?
