Bookbeast sheets were sent home with your child today. My hope is that you or your child will record the date after they read each night. Bookbeast Reading will be written in Planners everyday as a reminder.
Your child may read one story or read for as long as an hour. Everyone’s schedules and reading ability levels differ. They can silent read, read to a sibling or be read to. If an evening is missed, no problem. Continue to record the following evening!
Please keep the sheet in a location that is always accessible and helps you remember to fill it out every night.
If you lose your sheet at any time, please write a note in your child’s planner and we will send a new one home that day.
To print off a new one, visit the Nelson School website at https://nelson.burnabyschools.ca/ . Click on the LIBRARY tab along the top of the page and then choose BOOK BEAST SHEETS in the drop down menu.

I can’t wait to celebrate everyone’s 50 Night Sheet being handed starting on November 18th!

I am so proud of the students who completed their 200 nights of Bookbeast reading! I love your love of reading and the dedication and responsibility of recording on and bringing in your sheets. Yay! You all received special prizes for each 50, 100, 150 and 200 nights and then a special magnetic bookmark for completing them all. There are now books in the Nelson Library dedicated to your awesome work! Way to go!!
