Last Day of School Updates

Hi families of Division 11!

Thank you so much for your support, kind words and holiday gifts. It is very much appreciated. Here are some updates for the last day of school which is tomorrow.

PJ Day:

Suncrest asks that students keep their stuffed animals at home during this time on PJ day. We will be playing a few rounds of bingo with the whole school and enjoying a film in the afternoon.

Letters:

Students in Division 11 and many primary classes wrote letters wishing the folks living at Fair Haven Long Term Care Centre a Happy Holiday. Each signed their letter with our Division number. The students did a wonderful job sharing holiday cheer to the 100 residents living there. Hoping we will take a walk over in the new year to show the students the centre that is just down the street on Rumble and maybe write some more letter and draw pictures for the residents.

Library:

Ms. Ho was away sick so we will have to wait until the new year to take out new books. Check out the public library over the break, continue reading on Raz- Kids and continue practicing the words of the week and words their way.

Treats:

If you plan on bringing treats for the class the expectation is the same as the past holidays this year where treats have to be individually wrapped for me to hand out at the end of the day.

Cubby and extra clothes:

Anything in your child’s cubby such as extra clothes and shoes will be sent home either today or tomorrow as a big clean will happen over the break. Most things are already packed up and ready to be taken home.

Thank you so much for a great first term! Have a relaxing winter break!
