When Spring Comes

This week, you will be learning about Spring.

Spring is such a wonderful time because so many things on Earth come alive again. Many animals such as bears, bats, and birds return to their homes after a long winter hibernation or migration. Many plants begin to bloom and “spring” back to life! During the Spring, we also have longer hours of daylight; the snow melts, and rain and sunshine fill our days.

Watch this video of a read aloud of the book, “When Spring Comes” by Kevin Henkes and Laura Dronzek.

Answer these questions:

  1. What changes to the environment do you see when Spring begins?
  2. What is your favourite part about Spring?

    1.cherry blossoms bloom, flowers rises, rain comes
    2. Simon we go play his toys outside at beach, see some birds chirp and flying.

    Here is Jasmine’s answers:
    1. Trees have leaves and blossoms; Snow gets smaller and smaller until it gone; Grass turn green and little flowers; Egg becomes a little bird; Seed growing; When raining, you can play muddy puddles; Spring has bees, buns.

    2. Going outside and see blossoms is Jasmine’s favorite part.
