Happy Tuesday Division 6! Remember, that tomorrow is our CLASS MEETING from 11:00 to 11:30.  We will continue our SHOW and TELL for our meeting.  Remember, to show something that is important or special to you and then explain why it is important to you.  I thought students did a great job of explaining their special items to the class and I look forward to seeing tomorrow’s SHOW and TELL.  Here’s today’s schedule:

  • PE WITH JOE or JUST DANCE videos – Choose between PE WITH JOE or choosing JUST DANCE videos. If you have some other exercise that you found online, then do that. Try your best to get your 20 minutes of exercise every morning.  Drink plenty of water and take breaks when needed.
  • RAZ KIDS – Let’s continue with some RAZ KIDS today guys! Do RAZ KIDS for 20 minutes.
  • POETRY – continue to work on your LIMERICK poem today. Remember, a LIMERICK can be a bit tricky.  Try your best to rhyme Lines 1, 2, and 5.  Then try to make Lines 3 and 4 rhyme.  Also, there is a rhythm aspect to LIMERICKS – it kind of sounds like a song. If you have problems with the RHYTHM aspect of LIMERICKS, don’t worry about that. I’d like to see that you make a fun and silly poem that has a rhyming scheme.  The due date for your LIMERICK poem is FRIDAY, MAY 29th.  Upload your poems on MS TEAMS.  I’ve uploaded another video on how to write LIMERICKS for some more background information:   LIMERICK POEMS FOR KIDS – CLASSROOM POETRY VIDEO.  In your internet browser, type in:
  • MATH – Today, I want you to spend 15 to 20 minutes playing games on COOL MATH 4 KIDS. Today, try the addition and subtraction games.
  • SCIENCE – Continue working on your questions for the GRASSLANDS BIOMES. All of the answers to the questions will be based on the article that you read.  Remember to use the reading strategies that we’ve learned this term:
    • Preview the headings and subheadings to get an idea of what will be included in the article
    • Look at the key words, so that you know what new words you will be learning before you read the article
    • Review the questions at the end of the article so that you know what questions you need to answer while you read the article
  • SCIENCE – If you have time, you can watch the following videos from Moomoo Math and Science for more background information:
    • GRASSLANDS (BIOMES OF THE WORLD)
    • SAVANNA GRASSLAND BIOME FACTS

      • MS TEAMS – The chat option will be open from 10:30 to 1:30. You can chat with each other if you want. I will be available to talk with you guys if you have any questions with any assignments. Or if you just feel like chatting with me, that’s okay too.  Remember that we have our CLASS MEETING on TOMORROW from 11:00 to 11:30 and we will continue our SHOW and TELL.

That’s all for today.  See you guys tomorrow!
