Good morning Division 6! Happy Monday!  I hope you guys all enjoyed the weekend and did something fun.  For this week, we have the CLASS MEETING on WEDNESDAY from 11:00 to 11:30.  We’ll continue with the SHOW and TELL that we were doing.  Personally, I thought it was so cool to see what students were sharing with the class.  Also, I thought all the students that shared did an excellent job of sharing what was important to them.  Lastly, I really appreciate how the class was listening to the speaker.  Good job Division 6!  Anyway, here’s this week’s schedule:

  • PE WITH JOE or JUST DANCE videos – Choose between PE WITH JOE or choosing JUST DANCE videos. If you have some other exercise that you found online, then do that. Exercising every day is important to your overall health.  Try your best to get your 20 minutes of exercise every morning.  This is part of our regular routine. Drink plenty of water and take breaks when needed.
  • RAZ KIDS – I want you to do 20 minutes of RAZ KIDS. Try your best not to go over the 20 minutes that I ask.
  • POETRY – This week, I want you to complete a LIMERCK poem! LIMERICK POEMS are supposed to be fun and silly! I’ve uploaded the guidelines (instructions) under the CLASS MATERIALS folder on MS TEAMS. Once you click CLASS MATERIALS, then click into ELA, and then finally click into the POETRY folder – then you should find the guidelines for writing a LIMERICK.   Read it carefully – be aware of the rules for a LIMERICK:  understand the RHYME and RHYTHM pattern. If you have a problem with the RHYTHM pattern of the LIMERICK, don’t worry too much about that.  But try your best to have Lines 1, 2, and 5 rhyme while Lines 3 and 4 rhyme.  Try your best, this type of poem can be a bit tricky.  The due date for your LIMERCIK poem is FRIDAY, MAY 29th.  Upload your poems on MS TEAMS.  I want you to watch a video on youtube titled:  LIMERICK POEMS FOR KIDS – LEARNING FROM HOME to get some background information on writing limerick poems.  In your internet browser, type in:
