Sept Precept

When given the choice between

Being right and being kind

CHOOSE KIND

Here is an example of what I think this precept means, Say to people were having a conversation;

Girl: “do you know what is a precept?”

Boy: “Yes It’s a rule that’s really important, and it’s “do you know what a precept is” by the way.” he said rudely correcting her.

Was he being nice or being kind? He choose right, and he didn’t do it by accident he did it on purpose. That’s when you know its mean, Words can hurt you know… everybody has feelings, not just you.

Have you ever gone to work or school and a person had a really bad haircut? What would you say? Would you be right and say “Dude what’s with your hair” or would be kind and say “Hey nice haircut” Is there a choice? Yah I guess there is, but please make the right choice and choose to be kind. Because somebody I know chooses right, and nobody likes to be around them. My conclusion is…

CHOOSE KIND
