Book Spine Poems

We have been working on book spine poems and it was a interesting experience. My book spine poem is here.

We went to our school library to look for ideas for our poems. It was fun to see all the titles we have never seen before. I liked the book finding and I found some books that could be a book spine poem.

The poems are very cool and you can be very creative. I liked making this book spine poem.

Poems

This blog entry is going to be about poems
When I grow up…
I want to be a baker,
Maybe not a video game maker.
Working with animals would be great,
Hope my dad doesn’t eat the cookies that I like to make.
An author would be nice,
How ’bout a cook that likes to use spice.

Haiku!!!

Seasons are nice
My favourite is summer
I enjoy swimming

Rhyming couplet

I like to go to school and learn new things,
Sometimes at music our teacher sings.

Quatrain

I think about flying in the blue sky                                                                                          It’ll take time to get the hang of it                                                                                          And I will be fast while I soar up high                                                                                     And I will learn a lot more bit by bit

My Poem

My Burning Desire To Stop Writing This Poem

O poem, o poem, I dont want to write you.

I wish I could burn you with a million suns,

and a million bombs, and a million explosions

and it all will go boom and a blam!

So now I am done but the question still stands:

For how long must I write thy poem,

and will I ever be done, with thy poem.

Free-Verse Poems & Haiku Poems

Here are some free-verse poems that I made:

Chicken In The Kitchen

There’s a chicken in the kitchen,

 He ran inside the house,

 He ran around the bedroom,

And tried to catch a mouse,

He ran under the table,

To find a tasty snack,

 He looked inside the cabinet,

All he found was some old tacks,

He jumped inside a cooking pot…

Oh no!! This won’t end well…

At least we’ll have some dinner,

And a good story to tell.

Spring Is A Time When..

Spring is a time when…

The birds sing,

The flowers bloom,

The bees sting,

We clean our rooms.

The sun comes near,

We see blue sky,

Grey clouds are here!

It’s raining! Goodbye!!

Here are some haiku poems:

Potatoes

Potatoes are great.

You can use them in cooking.

They grow from the ground.

Making Poems

Try to make poems.

You will find that it is hard,

Unless you practice.

The Sun

Wow! The sun is hot!

Please do not look directly,

Or you will be blind.
