Beedie Group Reflection

A while ago, my class got to go to a trip with the Beedie Group. The Beedie Group is a construction company. We first got to go in a bus with Andrew, a construction worker. Andrew showed us all about the process of building. I think he really knew what he was talking about. Andrew was with the company for a long time. His story also influenced me to think more about being a construction worker in a later age.

Next we went to the office of the Beedie Group. We met Mr. Beedie, the owner of the Beedie group! I think he was also very inspirational. He really worked hard for his company. We looked around the office and I saw some interesting things. There was the regular offices, computer room, and many other places.I really liked the computer room. After we we looked around they treated us to pizza! Not to make you hungry but the pizza was delicious! The tasty, cheesy cheese, the crispy, crunchy crust, and everything else in the pizza was amazing.

The Beedie Group gave us an amazing experience.

April Precept

April Precept: “What is beautiful is good, and who is good will soon be beautiful” – Sappho. My thoughts on this precept are different because what is beautiful isn’t necessarily good. Sure, it’s beautiful or cool or whatever word you use, but that doesn’t make it good. An example to prove my point are fish, and pretty much everything else underwater. More specifically, rockfish. It’s an absurd example, and I don’t think everyone will see it in real life or on camera, but the author DID say “What is beautiful is good,” so I kinda have to criticise everything about it and post my opinion so yea. More to the point though, a rockfish may look pretty, but don’t touch one unless you wanna get poisoned, and that’s not good. And that’s just one of the examples I could give you. Now what I would do to fix this, I would simply rephrase the first part, but that’s just my opinion. As for the second part, I would agree with it a little more than the first part, mainly because many people that have been good to the world also became beautiful, but that doesn’t mean that everyone who is good is automatically beautiful. That being said, in due time, everyone will be beautiful. Except for the lazy people, they never accomplish anything. All in all, this precept needs to be changed, at least in my opinion, and while I don’t necessarily agree with this precept all that much, its still a good one, but I don’t see where or in what situation you can ever use its advice in your life, cause that’s what precepts are for, right? Something to live by, and I don’t see how you’re supposed to live by it, so in my opinion changing it will not only help it to be understood better, but it may also give it a meaning in life that you could follow. And those are my final words.

YOUR DEEDS ARE YOUR MONUMENTS

I think this precept means that

the deeds you do become infinite memories, memories that will never go away, the good deeds become a building literally floating in your imaginary imagination.

let’s give ourselves an example, let’s see oh i got it Terry Fox, Terry ran around the world well attempted to… of course, but he ran around the world to raise money for cancer awarenesses and eventually he raised 24.17 million dollars he has a monument inside his head of how risked his life and soul to help others that would be a really big monument am I right, wow I went super off topic lets see oh yes

I think this precept means the deeds you create become giant monuments that will never break

Did you like my blog if you did comment what you liked about it, if you didn’t then just comment what i should work on! well in that case au revoir!

Romeo & Juliet Reaction

Recently, we went to a play, and, as you’ve probably read the title, it was Romeo & Juliet, by Bard on the Beach (BotB), and this is my reaction to the play. I loved it. It’s my most favourite play that I have seen so far, and Ioved the story. At certain times, it brought a tear to my eye. It was a sad story but it was a really good one, and it has taught me a lot about life. And the actors, they were the best! They were so in character, I had trouble telling if they were modern people or not. By the end of the play, I was amazed at how they managed to do this. It probably took them loads and loads of time to practice it all, and when you mess up, you had to retry over, and over, and over until you got it down perfect. Keep it up, BotB! I enjoyed your show and I’m sure your other shows are good too.

Bard on the beach reflection

Yesterday we got to go to bard on the beach.  We got to see Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet is a play that has lots of tragedy. When we got in the theatre there was big studio equipment on the stage. The play was amazing. In the play there was sword fight scenes. My favourite part was when Mercutio and Tybalt fights. The ending as sad because Juliet stabs herself and Romeo drinks a poisonous potion because he thought Juliet was dead. Overall I liked the play because there was few funny scenes and intense scenes.

bard on the beach reflection

so I really like all the mini activities bard on the beach gave us they were really fun the mini activities were clay sculpting, story making with lines and guess the character. I really enjoyed when we got to pick lines and sculpt our partner into what we think the pose should be.

I was surprised of how much stuff they brought, they brought a small bag and they pulled out millions of things.
