Ok so i’m back with another inquiry journal the process on my inquiry is doing just really well i actually just presented it to my class last week. But when i presented at the inquiry fair Zeinab won’t be there because she is in lebanon.

The inquiry is pretty much finished except that i have one little small space where i could do more       but i’m still researching on that, also at first i thought of doing a model of the brain but i wasn’t able to finish it in time instead, i decided that i should cut out pieces of paper representing the brain and added pipe cleaners and taped pieces of paper on and wrote down the different parts of the brain

I also forgot to add the sites i found my information at 🙁 but when i present it at the inquiry fair i will put down all the websites and hopefully i won’t miss anything.

Reflection: Dragon Boating

On May 10, May 19, and May 25, our class went dragon boating and it was an interesting experience, even though I went dragon boating last year. My arm got really tired after what seemed like 20-30 strokes. But other than that (and when the person in front of me splashed me) it was very fun. I also reviewed the boat commands, which were:

Ready Position! = hold your paddle in an “A” shape

Go!= start paddling

Hold the Boat! = stop the boat

Brace the Boat! = put your paddle horizontally into the water? It’s hard to explain…

I also learned the parts of a paddle. So there’s the “T” grip, the shaft, the neck, and the blade.

I think that dragon boating builds your teamwork skills because in order to go fast, all of the paddles have to row at the same time. It also improves your strength because it requires a lot of strength to row for a long time without getting tired or taking a break.

Does my calculator follow the ooo?

Does my calculator follow the ooo? If you do it right, yes but if you do it wrong, then no. For instance here is a math question: 2+3×2. You might have done 2+3=5 first. Then 5×2=10. You might think this is right, but it is not! First you have to do the times first. Do 3×2=6. Then do 6+2=8. So yes, my calculator follows the order of ooo.

Dragon boating reflection

Dragon boating was a great Experience,

The 1st week my class learned about strokes.

The 2d week we had a race

Team Aqua (My team) vs Team Tiger.

The 3d week (The last week) both teams became into one Team Aquatic Tigers.

On a scale of 1/10 I would rate it a 9.

I would rate it a 10 if it didn’t take so long to get to Burnaby Lake in BC.

dragon boating trip refletion

my class went to burnaby lake for dragon boating we walk about like ten minutes I think. when we got to burnaby lake  we went in to the forest to see animals, plants, and some things that the animals build. then we went to the doc for dragon boating how ever for me I,m not aloud to go on the boat because my parents don,t want to risk my health so was on the doc being the reporter making sure that everyone was doing ok and take pictures. then we got back almost 3;00pm.
