I2 Journal

Hello and today is our inquiry fair! All we have to do is make a sign and add a little more to our slideshow. We are mostly finished, but we need to add a couple more details just to make it PERFECT. Our inquiry is on League of Legends. We also have to get our poster and make a sign. Thank you for reading our inquiry journal

June 22 2016 Inquiry fair.

week 6

Week 6   6/22/16

Hey, I am so sorry that I’ve hadn’t been writing! I’ve been really busy lately. Hope you guys understand. Anyway today is the I2 fair, I say today! Good thing I finished one month ago. I don’t need to be all stressed out. I know a lot of people getting things done at the last minute. Not saying any names though.

I need to end this soon, this is shorter than a lot of my other I2 journals.  My other I2 journals are longer, except week 1.

Inquiry Journal

April 26 – May 22, 2016. Entry #1:

Through April 26 to May 22, I didn’t do much on my inquiry. In fact, I did nothing. That being said, I did start one with a friend of mine, but it ended as soon as it started. Things didn’t work out, so we went our separate ways, and I ended up doing nothing. The reason being because I couldn’t find any good project ideas, and everything that came up into my mind I either didn’t like, or I already did something similar. My last inquiry project was about the ocean, and before that I also did one about the ocean, so doing a third one was a boring idea, and any other idea that I thought of really didn’t strike my fancy, so I went 2 months without any work on my inquiry. Pretty bad choice but what’s done is done, and I can’t change the past. In the end I decided to get back together with my friend because he also had the same problem as me, and it was fortunate that we worked out a solution. We decided to work on animating, and we started with only one month before the deadline.

May 22 – May 28, 2016. Entry #2:

We have just started our inquiry about animation, and so far I say we’re doing pretty well. We are explaining about the 3 main forms of animations, which are: Flipbook, 2D, and 3D. They are the main forms of animation that you’ll see out there. Flipbook is basically you flipping through a book quickly, and inside the book are drawings, and every page you flip through, the drawing changes a little, and when you flip through it quickly, you see the object moving, and it looks like an animation. Next is 2D. 2D is pretty simple. It’s one of the more common forms of animation, just because it isn’t really hard to make, and is also entertaining to watch. Although 2D animations are more common, that isn’t to say that 3D ones are bad. In fact, they’re better than 2D ones in a lot of places. For example, 2D animations tend to focus on the manipulation of an image, while 3D ones tend to focus around a world being loaded and a character/object interacting with everything in the world. 2D animations are better because they are faster to make, and require not a lot of effort, but 3D animations are harder to make and require lots of patience, skill, and determination. Each have their weaknesses and strengths, and each are viable in their own way.

May 29 – June 4, 2016. Entry #3:

We added some final details to the Flipbook, 2D, and 3D parts, and currently working on something called “illusion” animation, which is basically a way 2D animations make it look a little 3D. We’re also working on animations in cartoons/TV shows, which is basically drawn animation. Drawn animation is a 2D animation which is drawn frame by frame, then sped up, and put into an animation. The hardest part about this part was how we were going to explain it on paper, but we managed to get through it.

June 5 – June 11, 2016. Entry #4:

This week we started writing on SFX, an acronym for special effects, which you will find in a lot of movies you watch. How do you think people make these slow motion stuff and blood dripping from the actors? They use mostly SFX. We have 2 and a half pages on that topic, which used up all our time this week, however, we did get started on one more thing, and that is famous animators/directors/voice actors, but we only started that, so we’re still working on that.

June 12 – June 18, 2016. Entry #5

This week we mostly worked on the animations we were going to present. My friends doing the 3D one, and I’m going to do the Flipbook animation. Other than that, we didn’t do much this week on our inquiry. We finished the famous animators/directors/voice actors, but we only added 3, but they’re really famous ones. We also did 1 2D animation which my friend drew. It isn’t the holy grail of animations, but it’s good enough considering how we’ve started this project with only a month to do this. He says he’s working on another 2D one as well, and same deal with that.

June 19 – June 21, 2016. Entry #6:

Our Inquiry fair is almost here, in fact, it’s tomorrow on the 22. My friend finished his last 2D animation and he’s hard at work on his 3D one. He’s using an animation engine that takes a lot of skill to use, not because I have experienced it, but because I’ve seen people animating 20 minute long videos with that engine, and it took them around 6 months to do all the animating, editing, and everything else. Meanwhile, I’ve been finishing up our Inquiry and adding a couple of last minute details to it. I changed up the SFX part, and put a new picture instead of the old one and deleted some stuff that didn’t match for that part and added some more. I also put down all the animation engines we used for the animations that we made, and put a few links to the sites where we were gathering information from, and all that. I also modified the title a bit, and gave our project a company name: Bearded-Brothers Productions. Currently, I am working on my Flipbook animation. (Update) Today’s the inquiry fair. I made the Flipbook but I forgot it at home. LOL.

I2 journal

I2 Journal

2016/3/29

Miguel and I are working together on the some I2 project, and the topic is “Pokemon”.

The reason that I chose this topic is because First of all we love pokemon, secondly, I want to find more than i already know.

I started pokemon at the age of 4, so I’ve seen so much change through the years. And when i first started playing pokemon it wasn’t the pokemon cards we know now but it was a collectable game where there was only a picture and some writing! -David

Why I like Pokemon is because it’s a never ending Story There’s so many Pokemon you can think of you look at one game, and you’re sucked in like you get sucked in speaking english. I’ve always been so amazed of how Pokemon works. I started Pokemon at the age of 5 forgot about the year later… But i started to like it again 5 years later.       -Miguel

2016/4/7

We have made two google docs about pokemon, legendary pokemon, and My top three Pokemon.

And we are having fun. There is a really fun game that is like pokemon but on PC. It is called Project pokemon. We both enjoy playing and we like the challenges of the game, so we thought we would play it a lot!

2016/4/14

We have made a lot of work done and we wanted to create a pokemon comic book but it was too hard so we gave up. XD we are doing a great job at this Inquiry and learning a lot.

2016/4/19

We made a lot of progress in the is game called PROJECT POKEMON and I so far got a Dewatt, a Pikachu, a Pidgeotto, a Ivysaur, and a Graveler. SO I defeated the Third gym! And Miguel defeated the 8th Gym. And we made something called Pokemon facts on our google drive so Ya. 😉

2016/4/29

What we did was we made more google docs and made one called “ Pronunciations for pokemon.” Also we made one called “History of pokemon games.” Then we planned our set up for the I2 fair.

2016/5/8

So we had a mistake and created a google doc called pokemon tree and it didn’t turn out how we hoped. So we worked on all our Google docs and I think were ready but Miguel says we could do some more work. So we keep on working until we’re done.

2016/5/19

We worked on more of the google docs that we had and  made a lot of progress in our project pokemon game. I got my first rare in project pokemon.Sigh, So tired.

2016/5/28

Lol, I came up with a troll in project pokemon and it is before I join a game, I say: “Can anyone help me, I’m a noob. Then I say: “Plz trade. Man it’s so funny because so much people fall for it. (sorry people how have fallen for it) But Anyway we have made a lot of progress in the google docs. Almost done!

So kind of nervous but getting there.

2016/6/16

Today there is about six days to the I2 fair and we’re getting there like last week, so tired and tomorrow we’re going to the writers exchange program. Want to do so more I2 but busy with other stuff. But somehow found to time to do this I2 journal. XD lol

21/6/2016

Tomorrow is the I2 fair and all we need to do is

1) get a poster

2) print the facts and this I2 journal

3) glue the facts and I2 journal onto the poster

4) make a cool art picture

So ya, almost done

Also did you know that bulbasaur was the first pokemon but people think that arceus is the first pokemon because it is known as the creator of all pokemon. But truly bulbasaur was the first pokemon created!

I2 Journal

Week one

For my inquiry, I am working on Naruto and I have already known about Naruto for a while now so I am really gonna have to dig deep into naruto to find more interesting information about naruto.

Week two

Not much progress with my inquiry right now since I haven’t really found out how I’m going to layout or format my inquiry but I do have a couple of ideas in mind.

Week three

I found out what I am going to do to layout my project with a little help with my Milloy and I am going split my project into little sections with different ideas but with one big topic

Week four

I have written some info on some docs but things are not looking so great and it’s not really turning out how I want it to maybe I have to do a little bit more thinking with how I going to explain my inquiry and show it effectively

Week five

I did a lot more thinking and I am now going to use a poster and print all my papers on the poster and now I have to think of an elevator pitch and memorize so that I won’t have to look at the papers that all the info I ‘ve written is on

Week six

I’ve pretty much finished my inquiry and now all I have to do is print all the papers I’ve written at school then get a big poster and boom I all finished.

I2 Journal

Dreams And Nightmares.

Hey guys it’s me again writing MY LAST I2 JOURNAL! ! !

I’m SO close to being finished so I thought why not wrap up the whole thing. So I’m very interested in learning, and this topic is something I have always wondered about. So I’m going to tell you how I’m presenting my project.  I bought a trifold (fourteen dollars, lotta cash from my own pocket) and I used a computer for all of my information, after that I cut out corners for all the pages, printed pictures, cut out letters for the title and my name, and BAM all I gotta do is glue it on the trifold. That’s all I can tell y’all, Miss ya! ! ! Bye!
