A Lesson I Learned From Wonder

One of the couple lessons I learned from Wonder is to not be friends with rude people an example of this is when Jack, Amos, Henry, and Miles realized that Julian was not such a great friend. Another lesson I learnt is that your deeds are your monuments an example of this is when Julian bullied August and ruined his own reputation

  1. I have to disagree with you. Not being friends with “rude” people, isn’t going to change anything. The world is full of all kinds of people… nice and mean. You just have to accept it. I think we can all agree that Julian wasn’t the greatest friend ever, after all we never did get to hear Julian’s perspective in the story. But maybe he was just insecure, over sensitive, or he just wasn’t comfortable with August.

  2. I like how you used one of the precepts as a lesson and I agree that it is an important lesson from Wonder. Something I would like to see on your next post would be bolding on a lesson instead of italicising.

    • Thanks for noting the valuable ideas that Alec10 found among the precepts in Wonder, Kai31. Is there a particular reason you think that using a bold font face would make an important difference to Alec10’s post? It might help writers who read your comment to this post to understand your thoughts on why choosing between bold, italic, or other font effects might make a difference.

  3. I was thinking of what you wrote you are right to be a friend and don’t be rude and that reminds me of what happened in wonder when Julian was being rude and Jack, Amos, Henry, Miles were being a really good friend. One last thing I think everybody in the class has to be a good friend a stop being rude 🙂

  4. I think it’s important to remember that we all have feelings and that we all have moments that we aren’t particularly proud of.
However it’s also important to remember that a real friend cares and won’t be consistently rude. We all need to care for each other! 🙂
