Here are the Instructions for recording and uploading videos of singing, “I Believe” (the song we’re singing for grad) and the videos and the lyrics for the song :                                                                                                    The song is short (just over 2 minutes) and not too tricky. I know you can do this! 🙂

1. Read the words/lyrics 2X
2. Listen to the song, without singing, 2 or 3X, while you read the words (use the Demonstration version)
3. Practice singing along so many times that you feel very confident!
4. Put on headphones hooked up to your device
5. Play the backing track  (Accompaniment version)

6. Practice singing along to the Accompaniment track (you won’t hear the vocalist this time; you will just hear your voice with the music)

When you feel comfortable with this:
7. Video yourself singing along
8. Check it to see that you like it. If not, do it again.
9. Save the video file in your one drive folder you made for your teacher*
10. Also, send a link to that file to Ms. Kwok Esther.Kwok@burnabyschools.ca

Here are the lyrics: I Believe lyrics

One video is for listening and practicing to (Demonstration)

And the other is for you to sing to  with just the music (Accompaniment)

Here’s a great new read-aloud on Storyline Online about a great jazz trombone player from New Orleans called, Trombone Shorty. The illustrations are amazing, the animation is cool, the soundtrack is great and the reading is by the famous Angela Bassett. Trombone Shorty started playing when he was just a kid! I’m pretty sure you’ll love this story and you just might get inspired! Check it out!

My own videos:

I think most of you know that I am a songwriter (I also wrote my own children’s book!)

Here’s the newest song on my Youtube channel: For Earth Day, I thought this song would be perfect!

It’s about one of the ways we can take care of Planet Earth

Here’s a video of a young guitar player/singer who’s changed the words to a very popular song and made it about experiences many of us are having right now! So good!

In case you didn’t see it on my blog (or on my youtube channel), here’s a song I wrote about all the different people who live in Canada. Most of the pictures are from a cross-Canada trip I took, just me and my Eurovan – all the way to the east coast of Newfoundland and back! It was amazing!
