May 21, 2020 Division and Coins Continued

This week, Grade 3s will continue to work on division concepts and Grade 2s will continue to work on counting coins.

Grade 3s

Read explanation page with your child and complete worksheets.  Use hundreds chart on main Math page for help skip counting when necessary.  Have students demonstrate learning using pictures, arrays and equations when possible.

–Counting Coins (On-line game)  Unsure if this link will work but worth a try?!
-Sort out coin jar
-Allowance gets paid in small coins – must count out $$ themselves
-Two people randomly pick a handful of coins from a coin jar with a                           variety of coins, each counts their coins person with greater value wins
the round.  Play 5 rounds.
