Hi there, Division 10! I can’t believe we only have a few days left of school! I am so proud of all of you for how easily you have adapted to our change in learning. You are all awesome! Next week we will have our last full days on Monday and Tuesday and I will give you a few activities to do on Wednesday as well. We will have our last Zoom session next Tuesday at 1 PM as I will be teaching at school that day. Here are the activities for Thursday and Friday this week:
Thursday June 18, 2020:
1) 321 Science Response– Grade 2’s-watch the following video on the water cycle and share 3 things you learned, 2 questions you have, and 1 thing you found that was interesting. The 321 Response will be attached as well.
321 Reading Response Word Document
Grade 3’s-watch the following video about a soil erosion experiment with water. Use the 321 Response below to share three things you learned, 2 questions you have, and 1 that was interesting.
**Erosion means the movement of soil or rock usually by water, wind, or ice.

Take your time with this activity and watch the videos a few times. This will be due on Monday.
2) 3-D Shape Scavenger Hunt- carefully follow the directions on the attachment below. Look around your home and outside for some examples of 3-D shapes. Grade 2’s, you need to tell me if these shapes can roll, slide, or do both. Grade 3’s, you need to tell me ( as much as you can) how many edges, vertices, and faces the objects you find have. Make sure to use colours and details with your drawings, Division 10!
3)Read for 20 minutes
Friday June 19, 2020
1) Friday Letter- today we will use an end of the year page to share what we thought of Grades 2 and 3. Use the page *HERE* or the attachment below to reflect on your time in Division 10. I would recommend drawing lines in each box to help you write neatly. Don’t forget to check for missing details, sentence sense, capitals, and periods.
2) Read for 20 minutes or finish up an assignment on Raz Kids.
3) Class Zoom-1 PM- I will continue reading from The Philosopher’s Stone and I will talk about the water cycle and erosion as well 🙂
4) STEM-Outdoor Scavenger Hunt or STEM Menu- you have a choice! A) Go on an outdoor scavenger hunt and see how many things you can find: Outdoor Scavenger Hunt B) Or choose another STEM activity from the menu attached here: STEM at Home Menus
Have an amazing weekend, Division 10!
