Hi, everyone! It was great to see you all yesterday at our class meeting on Zoom. I will be reading more of The Philosopher’s Stone tomorrow (and possibly Friday) when we have our math sessions. We will be looking at different kinds of graphs this week. Today’s activities include a read aloud and response activity with Mrs. Roberts, IXL, and reading. Have a great day!
1) Read Aloud with Mrs. Roberts- carefully listen to Mrs. Roberts read the book West Coast Wild on her blog *HERE*Remember, the password is nighthawks!
Then, tell me about your favourite part of the book, something the book reminds you of (and what kind of connection you are making: text to self, text to text, text to world), and draw a picture of your favourite part.
Use the reading response below to share your thoughts:
2) IXL-grade 2’s are looking at pictographs (picture graphs) today and grade three’s are reviewing fractions.
Grade 2’s: Q.8 (Level D)
Grade 3’s: V.2 (Level D)
**Remember to only spend between 20-30 minutes on this today!
3) Read for 20 minutes
Have a great day! I will send out the Zoom meeting link this afternoon for tomorrow’s math sessions 🙂
