Oct. 30         What a day! The pumpkin patch was a lot of fun.The students went out with their little buddies and picked a pumpkin.  We then had fun carving them (the pumpkins, not the little buddies)  in the classroom.  Sorry, only enough time to help the little buddies so most of you will need to carve yours at home.

  • Homework board:
  • spelling due tomorrow
  • finish your silent reading log
  • practice French songs for the assembly tomorrow
  • costumes for tomorrow afternoon only -change at lunch time- no weapons
  • bring cut up fruit if you would like to share for our healthy celebration tomorrow afternoon (and a fork to help you eat it )

Today we watched a wonderful presentation by Dianna David.  She performed an interesting show around the topic of being different.  She used many different techniques, such as mime, hip hop dance, and drama and to communicate her message. Talk to your parents about her presentation.  What did you think about the presentation?

It seems like we just started the new year and Halloween is almost here!  Welcome to our class blog.  This is a grade 4 and 5 class full of energetic people.  You all have different  interests and extraordinary abilities.  I can’t wait to learn more about each of you as we work together.  For now, we will use this blog to help us communicate what is going on.  Parents, please feel free to comment or ask questions as they come up.  We will do our best to answer them in a timely manner.  If you have a burning question, please call, drop by the classroom or email me directly.  I’m looking forward to a great year.
