Biomes of the world

| Posted in The Scientists corner, Uncategorized

mtnYou have been learning about ecosystems, habitats, biotic and abiotic things in our world. I have asked you each to think about your needs for life and then the things you enjoy and then figure out which biome you would like to live in.

Please share your thoughts with me and your classmates here.

I think I would want to live in either the Alpine because of all the snow and good sledding hills or the Deciduous Forests because of all the fresh air and trees to climb.

I like skiing, but I don’t like to be cold. I think I would just like to visit the alpine tundra. Since the ground is permanently frozen, I wonder what you would eat to stay healthy.

I would like to live in the tropical rain forest because I like warm weather, beautiful mornings filled with lots of sunshine, and animals. There is rain and sun too,and a lot of fresh air.

How warm is it? Have you experienced a humid environment before? I love to be in warm places too, but I don’t think I’d like the thunderstorms and heavy rainfall.

I would live in a tropical rain forest or at least a fairly humid one since I prefer warm, tropical climates to cold, wet ones. I also prefer to live in a warm biome because more plants will grow so more animals will live there thus making an easy food source for me. I wouldn’t live in a tree or something, but more construction can go on in a smaller amount of space. That way, animals could still have their space without overlapping human homes.
