Salmon Dissection

Just wanted to share a couple of pictures from our Salmon dissection a couple of weeks ago!

The kids really did a great job with this very messy “hands on” learning opportunity!

World Down Syndrome Day

Today, in celebration and recognition of World Down Syndrome Day our students participated in some fun activities to allow them to understand some of the challenges that our friends with Down Syndrome may face.

Thank you to Conor and Danielle Gibbons for bringing in Mix-Matched socks (please read the card each child recieved to understand the story behind the socks) for each of our students and to Mrs. Kucharski for bringing some cupcakes for us to enjoy!

What a fun last day before Spring Break!  Wishing everyone a happy, safe and restful break!  See you back March 28th!

Origami by Jihoo

We had a guest teacher today… Jihoo! Jihoo taught his classmates how to make an origami fish. Not only did Jihoo do a great job explaining and demonstrating the steps but the rest of the kids were such respectful and eager participants!

Leadership in action!

Remembrance Day

We participated in thoughtful and important assemblies of Remembrance this week, honouring all of those who fought for us, and still work to protect us and our freedoms. We also spent some time representing our ideas of Remembrance Day with art.

Grotto Pumpkin Picking

We had some fun today searching for pumpkins in the forest! We will “decorate” them this week and send them home in time for Halloween!

Stream of Dreams

We were happy to welcome the “Stream of Dreams” team to our School last week.  The children did a wonderful job painting their fish and are looking forward to it being installed on our Tennis court fences in October.

Welcome to our new class!

We have been busy the last couple of weeks getting to know each other!  The kids have enjoyed our new “Under the Sea” theme…  here’s a sneak peek of some of our bulletin boards and artwork that we had ready to welcome them!

Looking forward to another great adventure this year with our students!

Some End of the Year Snapshots

The students have been enjoying the last couple weeks of school! We’ve been spending a lot of time learning and playing outdoors and in. One of the highlights has been our Crafts Day, where we learned how to make beaded geckos!

Camp Khoboku!

We had a wonderful, fun-filled Camp Day! We did crafts, sang camp songs, had s’mores, told spooky stories in the dark, went on a nature walk with scavenger hunt, had a picnic, read in the dark, opened letters from home, and played in the forest!

The kids were excited and happy and were appreciative! I hope we were able to give them some lasting memories!

Here’s just a few pictures!
