Week of April 6th-9th

Week of April 6th-9th

Hi Division 5,

I hope you had a good weekend! We have a short week coming up because we have Easter Long weekend!

I’ve noticed many of you have checked out the class blog, posted on your BlogFolio, started reading on Epic books, and practicing your math skills on Prodigy!

That’s awesome!

This week, here are some activities I’d like to you try and keep working on:

    • Read 10-15 minutes on Epic Books each day (you can read more if you want)
    • Practice 10-15 minutes on Prodigy each day (you can practice more if you want)
    • Complete 1 science lesson (lessons are posted on the Science page)
    • Complete 1 math lesson (lessons are posted on the Numeracy page)
    • Complete this week’s Spelling lesson (lessons posted on Spelling page)
    • Check out Mrs. Araujo’s Read Aloud Episode 1
    • Check out Mrs. Fierro’s Music Blog and complete Music Lessons  (Complete both Grade 2/3 and Grade 4/5 lessons from week of March 30th).
    • Complete 1 reader’s response in your BlogFolio (Read a book, is it fiction or non-fiction? What is the title? Who is the author? What was the book about? What did you learn? Did you make any connections? Anything interesting about the book?)
    • Check out and try some Easter Activities:

Talk to your family and find some time to complete your lessons and activities, read on Epic Books, and practice on Prodigy. Try to set up a schedule.  You don’t have to finish everything at once.  You can work on the activities through out the week and submit them a bit at a time.

To show your work, you will need to post it on your BlogFolio.  I will check your posts regularly and comment on them.  If you need more help with how to post or log on to the programs, ask your family to email me at Shirley.cheung@burnabyschools.ca

Happy Learning!

Ms. Yapp
