Welcome Division 5!

Welcome Division 5!

Division 5,

It has been a very interesting and different Spring Break for many of us. I know you have many questions and wonders in your mind, and I will be here to support you through this journey.

I am very excited to try two new ideas to teach all of you!

I can’t wait to get started……

First, we will have a class blog! In the class blog, you will find activities, lessons, games, and videos to guide your learning in the upcoming days ahead of us.

Check out our class blog!

You can bookmark this site on your web browser.

Next, each one of you will have your own BlogFolio!

What is a BlogFolio?

• It’s a place where you can share your work, thinking, ideas, pictures, videos, and many more!
• Your BlogFolio is private. Only your teachers, family, and yourself will be able to view or comment. You will have your own username and password.
• You will be able to post and comment on all the things you will learn.
• You will use the class blog to learn new skills. When you are ready to share your thinking, you can post your work in your BlogFolio. I will be able to go into your BlogFolio to comment and/or give you ideas on how you can continue to learn more skills. It’s a place where you can ask questions and/or share what you have learned.
• You will be expected to post your work weekly. The number of posts will vary weekly.  Stay tuned!
• I’d like to remind all of you to use appropriate language and behaviour when you plan to share a post and or make a comment. Your BlogFolio is a place for you to demonstrate your skills.

● It helps students gain confidence as they progress through the math curriculum at their own pace.
● Prodigy rewards students as they learn by unlocking more of the in-game world and features.
● Plus, the game is safe and private, and a great use of screen time!

This will be a new program for students in Division 5. Families, please help your child log in and access the program.
