For a Friend … of a friend … of a friend

Hi all,

Since you’ve all done such a good job with helping my brother and I look for a new house in North Burnaby, I need your help once again for  a friend. They are looking in the “Nelson, Suncrest, South Slope” Area. You can find this under the “filter your neighbourhood” section up top on the website.

Your task:

  • Find 3 different houses in the area
  • Write 2 pro’s and con’s for each place
  • Keep in mind that this is a family of 4 people, and a rental suite (has a kitchen and a bathroom in the basement) is preferred as a mortgage helper

Thanks so much!

    1) My first house is in the Suncrest area going for 1,399,900 Million it is 2146Sqft, and has 3 bedrooms and 2 washrooms. It offers a comfy spacious living room and a kitchen that comes with a fridge, stove, and dishwasher. (it includes washer and dryer for clothes too.) It is close to elementary schools, transit, parks, and groceries. It comes with a sundeck.

    Cons.
It is far from high schools and is one floor it was built in 1950 which makes the house 69 years old.

    1. https://www.rew.ca/properties/R2336928/6026-mckee-street-burnaby-bc?search_id=977624486&search_type=property_search I think this house is pretty nice, with some exceptions. Pros: it’s pretty new and modern, being built in 2016. There are 6 bedrooms, 4 upstairs, and two on the main floor. One of the bedrooms on the main floor is part of a suite that you can rent out. There is also a separate 2 car garage. Cons: The grass in the picture is really torn up and dried, which looks like the consequences from lack of care and water. The house and property is kinda small, and it’s kinda expensive.

    2. https://www.rew.ca/properties/R2361704/7988-nelson-avenue-burnaby-bc?search_id=977625702&search_type=property_search This house seems okay. Pros: The house is big, at 4120 square feet. There’s a 3 bedroom suite for rent, and the house has 8 bedrooms in total, so there will be spare bedrooms. There are also big windows.
Cons: it’s quite expensive, the price being almost $1,900,000. The house is pretty old, and the floor colors just don’t go well with the house itself.
