    Welcome Back!

I hope all of you had a wonderful and healthy summer! Heading into the Fall, our current situation might seem as though we are sailing through “uncharted water”.  News of the ever changing pandemic and the updated science regarding the best safety practices, certainly presents us with a different way of life.  However, I am confident that you, your child and I, will be able to overcome these obstacles by moving forward positively, slowly and safely together. As children see their parents and teachers working together, as partners, they will be able to be confident in their own learning. Our partnership will send our students the message that we want them to try new methods and to be excited, about sharing their thoughts, in a positive and progressively safe learning environment. They will be safe both at home and in school from this pandemic.

This classroom blog I set up is one of the main platforms where you and your child will be able to view current and future information. It is only meant for viewing, not commenting. I am also learning to be savvy with this technology, so please be patient if certain technical problems arise. At the end of every week, I will do my best to keep this communication platform updated. However, you are kindly encouraged to check your child’s planner and backpack daily.

If you need to contact me you can:

    1.  email me at michelle.wong-boog@burnabyschools.ca, or

    SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Inside shoes and an extra clothes bag are preferred. Inside shoes do not have to be new. They are useful to keep as much dirt, pebbles and grass from outside out of the class. It’s better to have clean air than “dirty” air.  Having an extra clothes bag (shirt, pants, socks, underwear, etc. & label them) is VERY helpful for if your child needs it. Believe me, it’s more common than you think :p

Water bottles are required. Drinking fountains will be prohibited.
