Cracks in the pavement art

We were inspired by an activity in the book “How To Be An Explorer Of the World” by Keri Smith. We walked around our school looking at cracks in the pavement. Each crack had a story to tell – if we used our imagination! Suddenly, this broken concrete turned into stories of cities, heroes, new lands, and creatures!

I imagined this crack to be a bird because I can see it’s beak and head. I found this crack on the road and I wanted to show you this crack because I like birds.

Unlike others, I used two cracks instead of one. Mayville is a village I made up. The flag is in the centre of the village in the valley, and the sun is, well, where a sun should be. I really enjoyed making this. It was really fun!

I imagined this crack to be lakes because to me the idea seemed cool. I feel my art is something that can inspire people. I hope people think my art is good.
