Dear Parents,

Today, we started off with our Explorers Test. Then, students who had not finished their reading comprehension assessment from yesterday finished it up. We also played “Undefeated Champion” on questions about smoking and vaping.

After, students went to Music and then had recess and snack.

Following recess, we played two rounds of Blooket on Smoking and Graphing. Then, I introduced our new Social Studies Unit: The Fur Trade. I told the students about the mini project they will complete next week. They will be drawing a model of a fur trading post based on some pictures and videos they watched today. I will be providing more information about these trading posts as well tomorrow and next week to prepare them for this as well.

Following lunch, we had a class meeting because there were some inappropriate behaviours during lunch time. We talked about how our actions have consequences and how you need to represent yourself well and be role models. Then, students did their literature circles and handed in their booklets. After, we did planners, cleaned up, and I read a bit of “James and the Giant Peach” to the class. Then, we had library.
