Dear Parents,
Today, we started off with students finishing off their Math Survey Projects. They had until 9:15 this morning to finish them and then hand in what they had completed. After, we talked about parts of pictographs such as the key, titles, using a ruler, etc. and referred to the graph checklists. Then, students completed Unit 7 Lesson 2 (pages 260-261 #1-4). They needed to show me their work before they were done – I made sure they finished it with a ruler, included their labels, and titles as well. It is homework if they are not done. When they finished, they did sudoku on the iPad or extra Math sheets. Then, they had snack and recess.
Following recess, students signed the Indigenous panel that Simon James has created for our school and then students had time to prepare for their Literature Circle #5 tomorrow. They should be ready to go before school starts tomorrow.
Then, Ms. Varley came in and did an Art activity with them until lunch.
After lunch, students worked on Book Creator and then they answered comprehension questions about a reading for our Term 3 Reading Assessment on Weather.
Have a good night!
Sincerely,
Ms. Wilks
