Dear Parents,
Today, we started off the day with reading (with the option of partner reading) and then students did their Health Quiz. These are marked and I will likely post them on Fresh Grade later tonight. Then, students went to Music and had recess.
After recess, we had our Easter Egg hunt. Students had to go find their two plastic eggs with little chocolates inside. Then, students worked on their stop motions. Some groups had the chance to use the iPads today to start taking pictures and compiling them.
After lunch, students completed their School Wide Write and then we had an Earthquake drill. After, we had DPA, students wrote their journal prompt, and then we went to library. At the end of the day, we did our planners and cleaned up.
The Weekend Journal Prompt is:
Please make-up an invention that you are trying to sell to Ms. Wilks.
Paragraph 1: Describe the item/name it/how does it work
Paragraph 2: Why would it make Ms. Wilks’ life easier
Paragraph 3: Why should Ms. W go and buy it?
Homework Reminder: Students are expected to read for 30 minutes each day (with Saturday & Sunday being optional for an additional point toward the class reading points) and record this in their reading log. They will be recording Thursday (today), Friday, and Monday at the minimum for homework this weekend.
