Dear Parents,

Today, we started off with our Math Minute. Then, we did our Science Battle of the Biomes presentations. The students did a great job on their PowerPoints and with their first presentation. We had a talk before the presentations about how one presentation doesn’t define them and that there would be no negative comments about any of the presentations. I really want students to have a good experience with presenting from early on, so we also did one positive peer comment per presentation as well. We continued this after snack and recess.

Then, students had time to work on their Buddy letters and Drama skits.

After lunch, we did our Daily 5 stations and cast our votes for Battle of the Biomes. Students have Daily 5 homework if they did not finish it in class today. Congratulations to Avani and Cassius for being voted the most persuasive and convincing presentation and winning Battle of the Biomes! Then, students got ready for home time, did their planners, and went to Music.

Reminder: Spelling Test on Thursday and Coast Salish Animal Art due Friday.
