Dear Parents,

Today, we started off with decorating our Art portfolios and working on creating our papier mache Halloween piñatas! It’ll be so much fun 😊

After, we had snack and recess. Then, students made a plan for the first part of their Social Studies research project: the notes part. Students worked on their projects and taking notes in their own words. If students did not finish their notes for the section they planned to finish today under Day 1 work, this is homework.

After lunch, we did our Daily 5 stations. As well, students received their journals back – I have given students a mark for their journal writing so far as well as stars and wishes for their writing. Students need to get a parent to sign this. It is also highly recommended that you go through all of the journal comments I have written this far with your child and make goals for the rest of Term 1. I go through the weekend journals every week and try to leave helpful comments.

At the end of the day, we cleaned up, had a quick DPA, and then students had Music.
