Dear Parents,

Today, we started out with going over a review for what will be on the Math Test for Unit 1 of Patterning on Tuesday. Your child has written down all of the content and is assigned to study these questions and the lessons in Unit 1 before the test on Tuesday. Then, students were assigned the “Show What You Know” Pages in the Textbook: Questions 1, 3-8, which will prepare them for the test. Students had time to work on this and then we played a Kahoot review that I made to get them ready for the test as well. I will post the link here in case they want to play.

After, students had snack and recess. After recess, we went to go and do a Thanksgiving turkey art piece with our little buddies. The students did such a great job being big buddies and should be so proud!

After lunch, we talked about our weekend journal for this weekend. Students are tasked to write about: 3 things that they are grateful for and aim to write about 1 page. In their journals, they are expected to use the student checklist to go over and re-read/edit their journals. We worked on a quick outline in class today for students to organize their writing before getting started and promote the use of paragraph organization. Then, they worked on their Paragraph of the Week – it is due on Tuesday if not already handed in/done.

At the end of the day, students had free time to play the games in the classroom.
