Dear Parents,

Today, we started off with reading some of our novel and then students had more of a chance to work on their transformations artwork.

After, students had Music, DPA, and then Gym. In Gym, we played benchball and then a bunch of variations of dodgeball.

After lunch, I did another introductory activity to direction writing, where I had students write directions to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Then, I showed them a video where a dad follows his kids’ directions very literally and ends up having his children do a bunch of drafts that become increasingly more specific.

At the end of the day, students wrote down their weekend journal prompt: “What do you predict will happen in the Animorphs book (and rest of the series)? (Don’t just tell me spoilers you’ve heard – guess what you don’t know yet).” Same page lengths as every previous week 🙂

Then, students had community time.
