Hi everyone,

It was so nice to see so many of you on Zoom today 🙂 Thank you for helping make our online scavenger hunt successful!

I want to share some supports from the school to families that are available:

• Our music teacher Ms. Hintersteininger has updated her blog as well at  https://sd41blogs.ca/hintersteiningerk/ Here she lists some activities, some calming strategies she has been teaching all students throughout the year, and a video message to share with everyone.
• Our school counselor Mr. Anderson has also created a blog at  https://sd41blogs.ca/andersons/ Here he provides access to child – friendly Covid-19 information, as well as community supports such as mental health lines, counselling and child and family services.
• Our administration has created this document Community Support Services Combined which outlines some supports for families within the community as well.

The school staff are also trying to contact any families that run or operate small businesses within our community. We are hoping to make a list of businesses run by families of Taylor Park that we can publish in our May school newsletter. This would encourage Taylor Park families to help support one another in these trying times. Please let me know if you have a business or company you think could be included in this list.

[edit] : I apologize – us teachers were very excited to find a way to help the Taylor Park community, but it appears we are not allowed to promote any businesses at all – so we cannot collect and distribute any information about this.
