In Language Arts and Science this week we are continuing our caterpillars and butterfly inquiry. We will also compare butterflies and moths, and explore pollination and the role of pollinators.
In Math, we will be investigating financial literacy, discussing key symbols found on coins, monetary value, and wants vs. needs.
For our Wednesday and Thursday afternoon meetings, we are going to be completing some directed drawings so please come prepared with paper and pencils!
Reminders:
- Please note our Tuesday afternoon meeting is cancelled due to me having to attend a meeting. There is a story and drawing activity posted on our week plan for your child to work on independently during that time.
- Please note that our small groups will be cancelled this week for our one-on-one math meetings (see the schedule for your child’s time).
- In a few weeks time, we will be starting a design and building project, so please start collecting cardboard boxes and other cardboard type products such as paper towel and toilet paper rolls.
- Don’t forget to we are participating in the 30 Walk Challenge, so try to find time to get moving and do our Before We Meet workouts! Post your pictures or videos of you being active on our 30 Walk Challenge Channel on TEAMS!
- No school Monday, May 24 for Victoria Day!
