Designing Rain Hats

Division 6 has some great designers! As part of both science and social studies this term, students have been learning about the water cycle and First Nations technology. We learned that First Nations people have expertise in using natural materials for making shelter and clothing. Inspired by their genius in creating cedar bark hats for the wet weather here on the west coast, we planned and designed rain hats with a variety of available materials.
