Welcome Autumn 20/21 Everyone!

Dear Strongstart Families,

Well here we are two seasons later, the first day of

Autumn of the 20/21 school year is upon us.

I hope you were able to relax and enjoy the summer with your

Family staying Safe and Healthy!

I was honored to help out with Kindergarten gradual entry

the last 2 weeks. I am Truly impressed with the hand washing

skills the Children have acquired over your time together!

Great job Mom’s and Dad’s and to All who have taught this

important life saving  skill to a child, KEEP MODELING THIS!!!

This year continues to be a roller-coaster of uncertainties with

many changes and unknowns.

Please Stay Calm and take care of yourselves and Each other!

We Will get through this Together!

Everyone is wondering, When will Strongstart open?

Here is the message from the School District:

In September 2020, Burnaby Strongstart BC programs

will continue to engage in outreach to Families via e-mail

phone calls and offering Strongstart services online.

There is currently no in person Strongstart BC

in Burnaby Schools.

We are looking at a variety of options that will enable us

to offer in-person Strongstart BC  programs.

Programs will be at a reduced capacity that are

consistent with stage 2 of the K-12 Restart plan.

“Reduced capacity” means  that we will limit the

number of Families attending to maintain safe physical distancing.

We will reduce the number of hours per day and/or days per week

of Strongstart BC operations to accommodate cleaning and disinfecting protocols.

Please continue to visit our website for the latest updates.

We look forward to when we can welcome you back in person!

I am looking forward to connecting with you All again!

Starting September 21st, I will be back to support you remotely.

Please do not hesitate to send me an e-mail if I can help in any way.

This week will be mostly reconnection, I will try calling you from

the Classroom phone (#604-296-9024-ext.642126), there is No

voice mail option, but Please feel free to call back or leave me

an e-mail.

Feelings

Welcome back Everyone!

Today we are going to read some books

and sing songs and a felt story on feelings.

To understand our feelings and be able to

name them and talk about them is so important.

To realize we all share the same feelings. Maybe our skin

color is different, our customs and clothing are different

but inside ourselves we  all  need Love, Understanding

and Acceptance. We are the first Teachers of the Children today

and it is up to us to provide an inclusive environment for  All

to Live, Love, Learn and Grow together Peacefully.

Together we can do this now and forever!

Please join me…
