PLAY

After listening to the webinar yesterday on Parenting through the Pandemic I was reminded of the importance of play for all of us.  It inspired me to play and create with my children.  We looked in our house and found some boxes and created something fun.  I encourage you to play with your children, if you have boxes around see what you can build or create, or you can use any materials you have available.  Go PLAY!!  If you would like me to share your creations you can leave a post in the comment section and I can share them with our group.  I will share my creation with you tomorrow.

Here is what we used to make our creation.

Below you can find some more information on the many, many benefits of Play!

You are all doing an AMAZING job!

At Strong Start I always share my thoughts about how you are all doing Amazing work at being parents.  I just wanted to reassure you that even though things have changed, you are still Amazing!!

Life looks different for me right now, so much has changed in our daily life which has given me more time to listen to more webinars and documentaries.  I find I can always take away something new or meaningful.  I wanted to share a few with you, the first one is one Anita suggested called Parenting through the Pandemic.  It is by Vancouver’s own, Dr. Gordon Neufeld, who is a developmental psychologist and author of the book Hold onto Your Kids .
