Nicholas’ Ice Fishing Trip

Last weekend I went ice fishing in Lillooet on Friday morning at 5:30 am.  The name of the lake is called Fountain lake. We needed wood so we stopped on the road and my dad spilt some wood with an axe. By that time it was already – 14 and  we were freezing. Finally we got to the lake and said should we stay or should we go sleep at the motel in Lillooet. We decided that we were going to stay at the lake. I helped my dad set up the wall tent and the wood stove. Then we went to drill a water hole and the ice was 18 inches.  I went fishing with my brother and we caught nothing. At night time we had a tent but it was frozen. We said it is starting to get cold we better go to sleep. In the morning the lock of the camper was stuck and we could not open the door.I got up and went in to the wall tent to stay warm. I went fishing with my dad and I caught one fish and I was so happy. We said it is too cold, let’s pack up and go to a motel in Lillooet.  We went to sleep and woke up in the morning and then went home.
